She has lived all over the country — California, Texas, Michigan, Massachusetts, Louisiana — and currently resides just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. In 2011, she received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Austin Peay State University and, in 2014, her Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Emerson College. In 2022, she earned her Doctorate in Education in Assessment, Learning, & Student Success from Middle Tennessee State University, where she teaches full time as an English instructor. Bryanna's debut poetry collection Skin Splitting was published in September 2017 from the award winning press, Finishing Line.
